ZULU is a consultancy company founded in spring 2007 that provides expert services on development cooperation.
Ms Veera Pensala has 25 years of working experience in the field of development cooperation at project and programme levels in Finland and abroad. Pensala has worked at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, in the private sector and in several CSOs engaged in development cooperation. She has fieldwork experience from four continents.
Pensala has strong knowledge on project management, planning, monitoring and evaluation of both development and global education projects and programmes. She has carried out 20 programme/project evaluations for various organisations. For 15 years, she has trained and facilitated CSOs and other organisations on Project Cycle Management (PCM) and Results Based Management (RBM), Theory of Change (ToC), Results Chain (RC), Results Framework (RF), Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA), and planning, monitoring and evaluation (MEL).
During last years, Pensala has been supporting Finnish CSOs in their programme design, PMEL systems and evaluations. Currently, in addition to consultancy assignments, she manages and advises disability specific projects for Threshold Association in the Global South. As a native Finn, she is fluent in Finnish as well as in English and French.
In her free time, Veera sings in a choir, plays football, studies Russian and tries to take it easy.
